For customers that make regular prints from the same files, we can keep copies in your personal folder. Please save each file with a unique title so that it can be easily referred to when placing an order.
Digital Capture
At Fine Art Print Studio we use very high resolution digital cameras and professional daylight balanced studio lighting to capture artwork images. Each high resolution file is then optimised using calibrated colour management systems to create the optimal master print file for Giclee print making. This file is calibrated to our printing systems and is then stored on our system with a unique ref number for future print making. We also supply a low resolution version of this file which is optimised for website use and is ideal for using on the artists website or social media for selling either the original work or archival (Giclee) prints.
Colour Management
As a Certified Fine Art Print Studio, we always use best international standards for colour reproduction using a fully ICC compatible workflow. This starts at the initial digital capture stage using custom built camera profiles and is managed at every step of the workflow. Our monitors are calibrated weekly using an X-Rite Specrophotometer. All prints are produced on calibrated printers using custom built paper profiles for each paper and print machine combination. This ensures accurate and repeatable results for every print that we make.
How much does this cost?
High resolution capture and master print files can be produced at the following prices;
1-9 Pieces = €65.00 ea
10+ Pieces = €50.00 ea
20+ Pieces = €40.00 ea

Note
The master print file that is created from this process is a proprietary file which has been optimised specifically for our own print output. This file remains the property Fine Art Print Studio and is kept on file to produce prints at the customers request. We respect the Copyright of the original artist and will not make prints without the customers consent.
We are happy to make prints using files that have been provided by the customer. In fact we are always happy to offer technical advice on how to achieve the best possible results. If you need any assistance please feel free to call John on 087 2611543.
Files should be sent as High Resolution TIFF or JPEGS (300ppi at final print size or send us the largest file you have and leave us work this out for you). For best colour reproduction images should have an embedded ICC Colour Profile. Adobe RGB 1998 or ProPhoto is recommended but we can also work with SRGB files. If you don't understand what this means that's okay! Most of our customers had trouble with this stuff before they got up and running. Don't forget, we are always here to help you at each stage of the process!
